A municipal pier, owned by the State of New York, on the Hudson River at Battery Park completed in 1886. The clock, a ship's clock, was installed in 1919 as memorial to the US soldiers killed in WWI. The last of the historic piers that remains, it is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a New York City Landmark. (DSC01580)

Casa Grande National Monument preserves what remains of an ancient Sonoran Deser tpeople's farming community. It was occupied for over a thousand years. It was abandoned circa 1450. (DSC03072)
Bunker Tower Weathervane

The tower sits on the highest point in the state - 2407 feet above sea level. It was built of native stone by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1934. Stars inside lead to an obervation deck which provides a 360 degree view of the countryside. The tower was added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on December 15, 1989.
