I wonder how much catalan is in esperanto. Before the civil war, I think that Barcelona had plenty of esperanto students. After the war anything but castillian was strictly forbidden.

Yes, but as far as I know the Esperanto-movement is now very strong in Catalonia, I think especially in Barcelona and Sabadell.
