The Old Aeroworks
Hatton Street, Lisson Grove, built in 1921. The Palmer Tyre Company had been located in the London docks, which sustain heavy bomb damage during the blitz. The government requisitioned this building, along with the art deco Wallis Building in Penfold Street (by Wallis, Glibert & Partners, built in 1938) and relocated the Palmer Tyre Company here to make tyres and parts for Spitfire planes during World War II.
