One from the archives. Longleat House, the ancestral home of Alexander Thynn, 7th Marquess of Bath who died this month aged 87 after contracting the coronavirus. A very colourful and eccentric character!

Most of the daffodils in my garden are now over, except for this one, in a shaded corner...and there is just one of them! I think it is a butterfly daffodil, but I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong.

For the first time in my youngest daughter's 43 years, I am unable to see her on her birthday. As a key NHS worker, doing a job she loves as a Medical Secretary, she has been very busy supporting her team of Consultant & Specialist Nurses. They must not forget the other patients in her department of reconstructive plastic surgery, due to cancer & fire. They too are being very patient and Lyndsay has been assisting them with phone calls in her kind & compassionate manner. Happy 43rd Birthday

Wednesday's walk was along the public footpath that joins the two Love Lanes. On returning home a helicopter few quite low over the garden. It came from the direction of Yeovilton RNAS.

Waiting to be fed & joined by the jackdaws....Trust Rodney to be facing the wrong way!
