There are many sand pits around Sulejówek.
Some of them are one hundred years old, remembering times when sand and clay (from numerous clay pits) were used to rebuilt Warsaw and nearby towns after WWI.
Some are deep, some are shallow, all are dry with trees struggling to survive at their borders.

This time I went there too late. Light was gone, the forest was dark.
I made three shots juggling with f5.6-8 and 1/30-1/15 sec, because I did not have my tripod with me.

I went to Korczew (park and palace) on a very sunny Sunday morning. There were no other people around, but I was warmly welcomed by two very friendly ginger dogs. They accompanied me while I was wandering around the park. It took me some time to realize that they were actually my guides making sure I visited their places of interest :)

National Independence Day (Polish: Narodowe Święto Niepodległości) is a national day in Poland celebrated on 11 November to commemorate the anniversary of the restoration of Poland's sovereignty as the Second Polish Republic in 1918, after 123 years of partition by the Russian Empire, the Kingdom of Prussia and the Habsburg Empire.
National Independence Day in Sulejówek -
there were hundreds of bikes and bikers gathered there and preparing for the Independence Day Bike Parade.
It was dark, it was cold, it was raining...

HFF and a nice weekend!
Please, wish me luck today - my central heating boiler (and not only that)
is going to be replaced - the operation effectively starting just this morning.
I'll go off-line in a few moments. Be back later. Hopefully...
Saturday morning - an update on status:
good news: the new boiler is in place and working,
bad news: at the end of that day when they filled radiators with water something broke at the very top of the house and I got a little deluge to deal with, they are going to fix it today,
good news: it is not so hot as yesterday.
Oh, I am exhausted...
Saturday afternoon - almost there:
the broken thing was cut out and shown to me. Now I am happy as a lark that it decided to leak yesterday and not later in autumn or winter when it would cause real problem. The work team is gone. I called for my bill...

The dog was obviously unplanned and I was rather annoyed with her coming suddenly into the frame.
So a few minutes later I made another shot, changing POV only slightly.
Guess what... this one is better :)
