These things aren't made to tolerate a lot of cycles. This one behaved a bit flaky in the lower angles, i.e. close to the #2.

The old one (top) has quite a lot of electronics inside. Much more than expected. The newer one has even more!

The old one (bottom) was killed by heavy rain somehow getting into the car and flooding the electronics and killing the car's battery.
The top one (used item) was 85% cheaper than a brand-new VW part.
