Malvina Reynolds On July 26, 1956, the House of Representatives voted 373 to 9 to cite Pete Seeger and seven others (including playwright Arthur Miller) for contempt, as they failed to cooperate with House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) in their attempts to investigate alleged subversives and communists. Pete Seeger testified before the HUAC in 1955.

Panoramio R.I.P. This was one of my first uploads to Panoramio in 2007 and my top scorer there (for whatever reason). In nine years it collected 220.406 views and more than 1.000 comments. In times it served as a communication platform. All gone and down the drain. I guess this is the most photographed tree around Lake Tahoe. Even I have a couple of shots from different years ;-)
