My new love

a tiny antique spinning wheel with a lead rim! Think it was used for embroydery yarn. The hooks are tiny and closely set and the bobbin tiny too, a fair bit of rust, but with some TLC it will be up an running soon I hope.

First spin on new wheel

After a bit of TLC, oil and sanding it makes yarn : ) click-clock-click-clock it says. Perhaps I should add a piece of felt between the foot pedal end the vertical shaft?

The "Bach" is sssspinning

It is now officially named "Bach", Welsh for tiny : ) After a fair bit of TLC and a good coat of antique wax the spinning wheel is now spinning smoothly lace-weight merino and silk mix.
