Die verwendeten Gegenstände des waren bei näherer Betrachtung schon erheblichst beschädigt und stammten wohl vom Schrottplatz:
Dadurch soll erreicht werden, dass einerseits die Produkte von verneherein so konstruiert werden, dass sie besser reparierbar sind, und dass Verbraucher einfach und zu angemessenen Preisen Zugang zu Reparaturen haben. Es bleibt abzuwarten, wie gut das dann in der Praxis funktioniert.
Mein persönliches Highlight zu dem Thema aus der jüngeren Vergangenheit: Ich hatte beim Ausparken im Parkhaus leider eine Säule übersehen und dadurch eine Beule in die Vordertür meines Autos gefahren. Nicht so dramatisch dachte ich mir, wird vielleicht 200 bis 300 Euro kosten. Am nächsten Tag in der Werkstatt sagte man mir, dass das aber ein ganz schlimmer Schaden sei. Die Beule sei an einer ganz ungünstigen Stelle, wo man sie nicht entfernen könne. Da müsse eine neue Tür eingebaut werden. Kostenpunkt: 3.500 Euro! Und das bei einem Auto, das neu insgesamt nur 19.000 Euro gekostet hatte.
Ich wollte es nicht glauben, aber auch bei zwei weiteren Werkstätten, bei denen ich wegen einer Reparatur nachgefragt hatte, bekam ich ähnliche Antworten. Selbst eine Werkstatt, die sich in der Werbung für ihre minimalinvasiven Reparaturen rühmte, wollte man mir eine neue Tür aufschwatzen.
Das Ende vom Lied: Im Bekanntenkreis kannt jemand eine kleine unabhängige Werkstatt - leider nicht ganz in der Nähe - die den Schaden für 300 Euro repariert hat. Auch die angeblich nicht reparierbare Beule hat sie wieder perfekt hinbekommen, so dass man von dem Schaden nichts mehr sieht. So ist eine Autotür nicht völlig unnötig auf dem Müll gelandet und ich habe 90% der Kosten gespart. Als Laie kann man solche Dinge nur leider oft nicht beurteilen und so werden viele eigentlich noch gut reparierbare Gegenstände weggeworfen.
