Looking WestAt The Top Gate

Looking WestAt The Top Gate
4x5 Silver gelatin Carestream xray film negative.
Sinar F 4 x 5 camera. Congo lense.
Developed in ID 11 1+ 3 2months after the shoot.
Very messy negs, didnt wash hands loading...was fighting the fading light and the time of day. Lesson learned but still like em.

Blue rubber octopus, Luc Reiniche have particularly liked this photo

thank you......I think I had been eating potato chips :-).....I have never been bothered by the finger print on a neg.....kinda like a signature.....but this is seriously too much.........I left the satchel with the exposed holders in my car for quite a while......not good, BUT as with life its the surprises that sometimes work best.....when you let go of the strong desire to be totally in control....and perfection becomes the total drive. As a potter I was always inspired by the Japanese way of seeing imperfections as being the hand of God perhaps.........cracks in pots, flaws in the glaze.......wabi sabi is another term you may be familiar with. Letting it be, and letting go can be fun..........and a load off your mind............the drive for perfection can be admirable and noble, and heavy to the point of crushing. Perfection already has a predetermined outcome..........when I think about it........other beauty may be overlooked or unseen.
