Gaza convoy, spring 2009
Viva Palestina's first humanitarian aid convoy into Gaza, spring 2009. We delivered 12 ambulances (plus some minibus / out-patient ambulances), and over 90 other vehicles full of medical and emergency aid. Whilst careering around in a car, looking for a supposedly spotted surfer so we could show the surf companies and have them fall over each other to be the most cool and ethical — and sponsor a Gazan beach!
The ride was quite a classic convoy scene: Kim with his video camera, me with a stills camera, a translator, a driver... and a guy with an AK74.
