Table-top photography in the garden yesterday. I'm reasonably happy with this one. I wish I'd left a bit more space at the bottom of the frame, but I can't shoot it again, 'cos I ate the pear :-))

I spotted this plant and the rather grotty looking lone fruit hanging over the top of a wall of a house in Emsworth, Hampshire. I thought at first it was Quince, but the shape and leaves seem wrong for that. After Googling some images I think it may be a Yellow Passion Fruit ?? Edit : ID confirmed as a Passion Flower fruit.Thanks to Alby & Rosa :-)

Left on my tree for the birds to eat. This is just quick post to let you know why I haven't been about for a while - basically I've been in hospital with acute appendicitis. I've had my appendix removed and I'm home now with a supply of antibiotics and painkillers. I won't be posting again for a while because sitting hunched over a computer screen is quite painful. I hope everyone is well. Take care:-)

Rubbish weather today, so I've been experimenting with some water droplet refraction. I made a basic error by not checking my iso before I started shooting and it wasn't until I got them on the computer that I noticed I'd left the camera on iso 1250, so these are a bit noisy. Overall though, I'm happy that I got the technique pretty much OK, so just a bit more practice needed.

I found these whilst wandering along the towpath of the Kennet and Avon Canal near Newbury. There were half a dozen or so which had been left on the grass near a wooden bench. I selected the best looking three, arranged them on the bench and took this photo..............for no other reason than I could :-)

Taken at Emsworth Farmers Market................and very nice it was too!! Really just a test shot taken using my new (to me) Nikon 105mm f2.8 VR Micro lens. Apologies for lack of comments lately.............everyone in our house is down with colds/coughs/snotty noses etc. I have "man-flu" myself, which as everyone knows is far worse than a common cold :D
