Meet the Twins

Meet the Twins
Not quite identical, but pretty close........and yes, this was the result of another raid on my wife's sewing cabinet.........it's like a treasure chest and I can't resist poking around in it :-)))

Thank you to everyone who has visited my photo-stream over the past week for so, especially if you've left me a yellow star and/or a comment. It's always appreciated and makes sharing worthwhile.

Have an enjoyable weekend y'all..............keep warm and stay safe..!!

Filippo Tosi, Guydel, Annemarie, Rosalyn Hilborne and 17 other people have particularly liked this photo

Lovely twins and polka dotty background...can you ask your wife what are these two meant for?

Glad you like them Isabel. The heads and the wooden balls all have holes drilled from top to bottom, so I assume they were made to be joined together by string or rope.........perhaps to make children's toys. I assume we acquired them years ago, when we used to keep all sorts of stuff in the house for when the grandchildren visited. They are too old for such things now, so we are gradually having a clear out and will pass them on to a charity shop (when I have all the photos I need).

Gotcha' Keith,.. novel little things,,..and I thought the same as Jean-louis - pads used for darning,.. but yeah' could be a toy of sorts... Cheers from > Dj.

Thanks David..............I know the sort of thing you mean for darning, but they're too small for that.

Remember this is a macro group...........this image is much bigger than life-size.

Good work Keith. Your wife's sewing cabinet is a real box of surprises. I don't know what the use of these two nice gadgets can be. Best wishes, Anton.

Thanks Anton. I'm pretty sure these are designed to be made into children's toys (see my reply to Xata (above).

Glad you like them though!

Ha, ha.........it's amazing how a few dabs of paint can make the facial expressions seem so different. I noticed that too!
