Taken around 10 days ago........with the rose gardens in full bloom.

I thought initially that the building in the background was going to be student accommodation..........but it is in fact the new Travelodge Hotel.

Andrea Ertl, trester88, Annemarie, Frans Schols and 7 other people have particularly liked this photo

For some strange reason I associate, in my mind's eye, a helipad atop all rotunda type modern buildings. Obviously I'm nearly always wrong, such as here!
A fine shot, Keith!

Ha, ha..........I'm not sure the mast-like structure on the top would work well with a helicopter Andy :-)) I'm glad you like the shot though and thanks for dropping by.

Great composition Keith. I love the colourful gardens but is it okay to say that although it "makes" the image, I really don't like that building ...

Thank you Maggie................I'm pleased you like the gardens, they are really lovely. Not everyone likes the building though and that's understandable and of course it's quite OK for you to say so..!! I hope you're enjoying the weekend.

I remember those buildings when we visited the Mary Rose Exhibition, which I loved. So we must have been quite close to these lovely gardens! The gardens look beautiful and the building match the colour of the sky on that day!

Yes, you would have been around half a mile away Rosa. The gardens are well worth a visit, especially at this time of year (and the café does coffee and cake). Thanks for your comments and enjoy the rest of your evening.

Die klaren Formen des Gebäudes bilden einen guten Kontrast zum englischen Garten. Schöne Komposition, Keith!
