The View from Langstone Quay (+PiPs)

The View from Langstone Quay (+PiPs)
Regular viewers of my photo-stream will recognise this area, as I have posted a lot of photos of it. I make no apology for that as it is one of my favourite places to walk and relax. It's a 10 minute drive or an hours walk from my house. It can get really busy in the summer, but if you pick your times carefully it's like you're the only person around.

If you hover your mouse over the Pub or the Mill you'll see a larger version of each, taken earlier in the day when the tide was higher.

Please view the main image large, on black. Thanks for dropping in :-)

Always good to see this view Keith and yes I know you will have like me with my favourite reservoir walks, hundreds of photos from this spot taken through the years. (I have several thousand in fact of that small area but loath to destroy them). Ah well, a great spot is a great spot. Now to take shots from here as the sun comes up over the mist and when the water is lit up by stars -that would be something. To do those takes another step that for most of us -is too far!

Take care and carry on taking from here. Thanks for sharing with our UK Landscape Photography Group , Herb

ps I see you already have sunsets from the harbour.

How lovely to have this place so close to your home Keith. A superb main shot and I love the PiP's, especially of the pub. It is so traditional and the light on the water is gorgeous.

The Royal Oak is a lovely old fashioned pub with a great beer garden. It often gets flooded in winter and sometimes when the spring tides are very high. It is also supposed to be haunted by the ghosts of smugglers :-0
