Taken at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust Arundel, West Sussex, before it closed due to Covid-19.

Also known as the Southern Wigeon, is one of three extant species of wigeon in the genus Mareca of the dabbling duck subfamily. This bird is indigenous to the southern part of South America, including the Chiloé Archipelago. (Wikipedia)

Another that I haven't heard of. I need to visit one of these Wetland Trusts, when we can travel again. It's a delightful picture of this beautifully coloured duck. The water looks so still and you have captured a lovely gentle reflection.

This one's really pretty! I cannot remember having ever seen this even though it's common in most parts of Chile, not only on Chiloé.
