Your garden is doing you proud. How pretty they look on a dark backdrop. Myosotis means mouse's ear, which I suppose you see in the petals. I much prefer the common name of forget-me-not....and we never could Keith ;-))

Thanks Rosa...........glad you like this one. The garden is a "work in progress", it's a bit untidy and full of weeds at the moment..........I just do a good job of hiding the backgrounds :-))

It's far too big for us really, but in these trying times it's been a real blessing!

Thanks Maurice..............you ought to have a look at getting a set of cheap extensions tubes or a Raynox lens. Both good cheap options to an expensive macro lens. Ideal for experimenting.

Die Schönheit dieser unscheinbaren Blüten erkennt man erst aus der Nähe, so wie in deiner Aufnahme, Keith! Ich habe noch nicht herausgefunden, warum einige Blüten einen weißen Kranz und andere einen gelben Kranz haben.

Das habe ich mich auch gerade gefragt und mit Googles Hilfe diese Site gefunden: www.die-honigmacher.de/kurs3/seite_14303.html Dort gab es folgende Erklärung: Die Schlundschuppen des Wald-Vergissmeinnichts (Myosotis sylvatica) sind Pollenmale. Sie funktionieren wie eine Ampel: Solange die Blüte in ihrem Innern Pollen zu bieten hat, sind sie gelb. Hat sie den Pollen abgegeben, sind die Schlundschuppen weiß. - Was es nicht alles gibt ... :-O

Ich habe nachgeforscht. Die Blüten sind meist zwittrig. Es gibt auch Pflanzen mit rein weiblichen Blüten.
