"Pineapple" Pumping Station

"Pineapple" Pumping Station
Found this oddity whilst out driving up on Grafton Down, Wiltshire, this afternoon.......and of course had to stop and grab a shot.

Googled it on my return and as far as I can ascertain it is now obsolete. Originally built in 1899 as part of the Wexcombe Waterworks.

Rosalyn Hilborne, Berny, have particularly liked this photo

Interesting indeed. If I didn't know, I would have thought this was one of those 'blind houses' or village 'lock-ups' which were scattered around the country.
A nice capture Keith.

Thanks Neil. I had no idea what it was at the time...........just that I liked it. A bit of Googling solved the mystery!
