"To the Last Wale"
TSC and Sight and Sound
Fabric: Corduroy
The lengthwise ribs in corduroy are called "wales."
As little duck swam along in the "Sea of Corduroy" she encountered a pod of "wales."
And a bit of music to go with the visual
From 1975 Crosby and Nash (Wind on the Water): To the Last Whale (wale ;)

Sand Castles
I never knew this sweet song until now and I really like it. It reminded me how much I loved Elvis's voice especially on a song like this.

Pony Man
When it's midnight on the meadow
And the cats are in the shed
And the river tells a story
At the window by my bed
If you listen very closely
Be as quiet as you can
In the yard you'll hear him
It is the pony man...

Well, this week's challenge is "What's Left" and since I've had the flu all week you guys get "what's left" from last week's challenge candidates. (I think most of you enjoy back lighting.) I hope to get caught up with everyone soon. :)
Can anyone guess what kind of leaf this is?

And if anyone wants to help me make my links look better (so cool, like Mick's) please feel free to let me know. :)
Thank you Mick!!! It worked!! :)

Full Moon

This is my first moon shot. I got a new lens and it's probably not strong enough for a real close-up, but it was pretty exciting just to get some detail. I had too turn my contrast down or it was just a bright ball of light up there.

Man's (other) best friend.
I noticed this sleeve from a 1970's album the other day and really liked this picture by A & M Records. I just added a texture from PicMonkey to dress it up a bit.

I used one of my photos, a water texture from PicMonkey and "Texture 1537 Moon" (inset) courtesy Peters Dreams to create this fluid "Blue Moon." Thank you Peter for the use of your lovely texture.

I took over 100 pics for this challenge in the last 2 weeks and decided on this one from a really nice sunset we had on July 1st.
