Today'd have been my mother's 92nd birthday. Thought I'd post her picture.
Here she is on Christmas day in 2002. She was 76 years old and dying from cancer.

And my brother, Richard. Proctor's up the hill from Duluth.
Photo taken 8/8/1987 during the Missabe Railroad Historical Society's annual convention. Scanned from a negative.
I sometimes call myself a "recovering railfan." The reason most of my rail photographs are old is that I stopped chasing trains in the early 1990s.

My brother, in the mid-1960s, stiffly posed next to either Lake Michigan or Lake Superior. Photo by Roger Dinda; scanned from an Agfachrome slide.
Gotta love those shoes.
It's Dick's birthday; he'd have been 66 today.

My brother Richard, my sister Debbie, and Missabe 178, an SD18 (yeah, only a railfan cares). Missabe Railroad Historical Society convention tour, 8/8/1987; Proctor, Minnesota.
Photo taken with a Minolta Point-n-Shoot and scanned from a negative.

My mom, and her dad, on a porch somewhere in Iowa, around 1930. Today would have been Mom's 94th birthday.
Probably my favorite photo in the family collection.
