Two of the many things I enjoy about watching baseball at C.O. Brown Stadium in Battle Creek show in this photograph:
* The odd corners and edges in the place, particularly down the left field line.
* The extremely accessible bullpen areas.
I'm not one to collect autographs, but I like getting close to the players and taking photographs. This picture, of Rockford Cubbie players, was shot during pregame warmups in, I think, 1998. For some reason, the Rockford pitchers were the only MWL team who habitually sat on that wall. Not sure why this was.
This photo was likely taken the same day as the Manny Trillo photograph I posted a few months back.
