Coble boats at Coble Landing, Filey

Cobles are flat bottomed boats (usually fishing boats) common on the east coast of England.
The tall cliffs in the distance are made of a mixture of mud and stones. This is a glacial moraine left behind when the ice sheets receded about 10,000 years ago.
