I have stayed three times in England on school trips (twice to Gloucester 1966 1969 and once to York 1968 from which trip to Scarborough.) I really enjoyed this country and I still love it. In 1998 my wife, my three daughters and I went on holiday to Henley on Arden and were delighted !!!

That is nice to know. My two daughter did the school exchange in the late 1980's and we had a lovely time when the French girls came to stay. All great fun.

Great photos of Scarborough Nouchet!

My Dad was born in Scarborough (1920) and as a boy we spent all our holidays there staying with Grandparents and Aunties/Uncles so the town is quite dear to me. Dad married and moved to Rochdale where I was born and lived until 1979.

Where you took your photograph has changed little since 1968. There is a new lifeboat station (on the right) now but otherwise much the same.
