This stonework, called "Pierre de Challuz" is a little blue: typical for the old buildings of Besançon.

Tremendous! It looks like a nice place!
My French school-exchange mate did his National Service near here. He (and others) tried to escape one night by jumping over the wall; he broke his leg (his friends all ran away and were captured later and punished) - and he crept back to camp somehow and escaped punishment. He explained his broken leg by saying he fought against the escapees. He was believed and got a commendation! He then got his brother (a doctor) to claim that he was insane, so he got out that way, still with his letter of commendation!
