Igreja da Misericórdia de Viseu
The Igreja da Misericórdia began to be built in 1775, with the master bricklayer António da Costa Faro responsible for the work and perhaps also the author of the facade design, which has many similarities with the Church of Terceiros (Viseu). The central body of the façade extends for two more lateral bodies, giving the church an air of manor, on the last of which the two bell towers are uncharacteristically based.
The church has three Neoclassical altarpieces, on the throne of the main altarpiece rests the image of Nossa Senhora da Misericórdia.
Happy Friday, great Sun and charming Smiles.
