Good Impressionist-style composition

Did I have time to do any composition, or was it just a blind snap whilst switching my walking stick to the other hand and standing my aching limbs in a biting cold wind?

I don't know, because I wasn't there. But whether the composition was by accident or by design, it's both original and good. A large expanse of textured but otherwise empty foreground leads the eye to where the main interest is - somewhere in the background. That's a technique which Impressionists used. The figures (centre-right) pointing and heading towards it adds to the effect.

Yes, it was very nice of him/her to point at the right moment.

Meanwhile, this person unknown remains blissfully unaware that his body language is being discussed. I think the same about the poor bods that don't know they're being erased because they've upset someone's photo. You never know: it might have happened to you or me

I've knowingly (while taking pictures) got in the way of others trying to do the same, but it can't be helped, and they're more than welcome to airbrush me out. I'm old but not yet picturesquely so.

I've just read that the Walsingham Pilgrimage on Monday week had been cancelled (because of government guidelines). I still have the night booked in Holt. Do I still go, and just go through the motions, as I'd planned to do last year, in order to be able to say that I'd been to Walsingham on Pilgrimage day every year for 44 years? I couldn't go last year because it was actually illegal to spend a night away for leisure purposes, and all hotels were closed, and accordingly, even if I were to go this year, I couldn't make any such claim. I won't (apart from hospital in 2019) have spent a night away for nearly 2 years. Any goings away I do do from now on will alas be on my own.

Go anyway and take a trip to the seaside. Beats religion any day.
