He looks quite resigned to the indignity of having his head put on display. But rhinos are quite thick-skinned.

As unthinkable as it is for me to vote Labour (nationally, locally or for Mayor of London), Sadiq Kahn is my hero at the moment. An application by my old school to build over its playing field (which borders the road I live in, and was approved, despite massive local opposition, by the local planning authority, a decision which was appealed against at considerable financial cost by those most affected, mercifully has been rejected by Greater London Authority, and I understand that the personal involvement of and opposition by Kahn himself (who is very pro open space) was crucial.

Even the worst people have some good points. They say Hitler was kind to dogs.

Why should I try to defend Hitler? I was just making the point that even the worst people usually have a few good points, including Sadiq Khan.

And I was echoing the wise words attributed to the late WC Fields:- "Any man who hates dogs and babies can't be all bad".

And you are clearly not a babyhater, so the same can't be said of you.
