A bronze statue of Dr John Radcliffe can be seen on the south lawn of the Radcliffe Observatory at Green Templeton College. The two-metre high statue was unveiled in 2018 to celebrate the tercentenary in 2013 of Radcliffe’s death. The Ashmolean Museum, with finance from the Radcliffe Trustees, commissioned Martin Jennings to make the bronze sculpture of Radcliffe to stand in front of the focal point of Green Templeton.

John Radcliffe (1652-1714) was the most successful physician of his day, serving as doctor to William and Mary, and Queen Anne. At his death in 1714, the bulk of his fortune was left to the Radcliffe Trustees for charitable purposes. It has been used for three iconic Oxford buildings: the Radcliffe Observatory, the Radcliffe Camera, and the Radcliffe Infirmary.

A bronze maquette of the statue is displayed in the Ashmolean Museum.
