What's "not taken" about it, except for there being no tree and no sign?

"Not taken" insofar as neither I nor anyone I know (that I've seen) had taken it before.

The sign was airbrushed out, but the tree in the corner of St Mary's churchyard must have disappeared within the last 2 years, which saddens me as I never got a picture of it (especially in blossom) and now never shall.

If I could have my life again, I'd go to Oxford in March, in 2019 or a year previous to that.

In the deeper recesses of my mind (I think) I remember the tree (in all the times over the years I've turned from the High Street into Brazenose Lane, or just walked past St Mary's, I must surely have seen and noticed it) and sizing it up - but rejecting it - as part of a picture.

NB If that's Brazenose College in the background, it looks very Victorian.
