The lighting on the top picture is special, and it's well composed - no excessive amount of road in the foreground and it includes (well done) the chimney, top right. I'd just have airbrushed out the aerials, solar panels, satellite dish, bus window frame, "Pub and Dining Room" and the figure (right), and darkened the exposure slightly.

I like the way people say my BW shots are "well composed", as if I have time to do any composition. It's point, click, and pot luck! I prefer the top one too, but I kept the other one because it shows the pub in use.
