Attention to beauty that is sadly lacking with modern architects.

I hope (but am not quite sure) if the outer facade on the canal side, seen here, is being preserved. www.instantstreetview.com/@51.751098,-1.27256,32.74h,4.4p,1z,UmlCdyQ7S52NwEmjKeO7qg

I'm guessing the waterside frontage will be preserved, but possibly looking somewhat unauthentic with the brickwork cleaned up. I've not been down there recently, because of my foot. Just this morning I've been given an appointment for next week.

By the way, it's a river, not a canal.

On reflection, it is.

Your appointment might be on Tuesday (17th Jan) early afternoon. Let's hope they can do something.

If it's cleaned up it will look as it did in 1892, and that WAS authentic at the time. Whatever they build behind and above the facade cannot look any worse than what's there now, and will be possible to airbrush out.

How did you know that? Did they tell you the time as well, and which floor?

"They" didn't tell me anything, and without knowing where your appointment is (what clinic, surgery or hospital) or any of your personal details, I was hardly in a position to make inquiries, even if I had a need to know.

It is by the mysterious workings of Murphy's Law that I intuited the day and approximate time. See my private message for the full story.

I hope all goes well for you, though the result will already have happened.

Thanks. Indeed. There is obviously something special or portentous about this Tuesday afternoon.

Thanks, but alas I wasn't worrying for nothing, because my PSA is now on a firmly upward trajectory (any hope that the previous reading was a mere fluctuation or measurement error has been dashed). But as yet it's still very low and there's no need to alter my plans for at least the next 3 months.

Bad luck, but stay positive. I hope you have some nice plans.

Thanks. Deo volente I'm going to India next month, and was considering some other trips, but those may now be shelved.
