1. The composition is too symmetrical; the eye is led in several directions at once
2. The concrete sill has lumps at the bottom
3. The brick courses aren't straight

I didn't do the bricklaying, and he who did is probably long gone by now.
But I agree that geranium red is a rather unnatural-looking shade of red.

The window boxes have been repainted green now.
Not Tring Green, but beautiful British Racing Green.
