This photo was taken in 1965 by the U.S. Navy photographer on the UNITAS VI cruise, during which the United States participated in Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) exercises with various South American navies. I was part of a two-man public information team for this cruise. I distributed this photo to US and foreign media. This photo was taken in Valparaiso, Chile, at a ceremony honoring Chilean military heroes.
