Over the top ...

... of the building. Contribution for The Sunday Challenge #406: Over the top Not exactly what I had in mind for this challenge. But because I happen to take the shot, and it seemed to vaguely go along with the expression, I decided to use it. Besides, I have had no time to come up with anything better. And in a way this building is going to be "over the top", figuratively and literary: en.areenatampere.fi It is built over railway tracks, and it will rice above almost all other surrounding buildings.

Whitelist ipernity for advertisement blocker extension

If you are missing some features like unable to add location on the map or unable to change the authorization on uploader, then you may have some extension blocking those features. What you then have to do is whitelist ipernity.com. How to do that may vary, but here's how to do that on AdBlock for Firefox: On AdBlock Dashboard and whitelist you add a new line and write there the URL address of ipernity home page and put /* into the end of the line. The asterisk symbol * in the end of the URL means that all pages under that web site are then ignored by AdBlock extension. The syntax may vary, but this is probably the most common one. There are many different advertisement blocking extensions, and how to access and edit the whitelist on them can be tricky. I do recommend visiting on their own help pages to find out more specific instructions. You can also ask and share help here on comments. Ignoring (whitelisting) all pages at ipernity can be done because we do not have any advertisements here. Well yes, those SPAM accounts popping out on daily bases of course, but we keep on trying to get them all deleted as soon as they rise their ugly heads. They should not much bother anyone if you stay out of images uploaded recently by all ipernity users . More about whitelists here: github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/Dashboard:-Whitelist github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/How-to-whitelist-a-web-site Instructions for uBlock extension: youtu.be/7SGFoyvl_k4

If I Only Had Time

After noon

'After noon' by Melorman: soundcloud.com/melorman/sets/after-noon Some technical yada For this shot I used my Canon G5 X especially because it gives a nice lens flare with smallest aperture, and it provides a large fully articulating screen. And yet this was rather difficult shot because of the wind. To get the lens flare in right spot and seen between the flower petals, and look big and bright enough, required 14 shots altogether. I also used a fill flash and a handkerchief to diffuse its light, which kept my other hand occupied, and therefore controlling the camera was demanding.

October 2019 poster session

Trying some PicMonkey magic to turn a dull original more interesting. Some tricks done: posterization, saturation increased (a lot), contrasts increased, white balance adjusted (several times), focal zoom (lighten mode, and done twice to get it more effective). EDIT: I just realized the limitation of PicMonkey post processed zoom effect. It seems that one can not create "explosion" but merely an "implosion" only. The light trails go from inside out, not outside in. So, objects seem to move towards the center. Better way would be to do it on camera or maybe on some editor.

FIRST RULE OF FIGHT CLUB

Contribution for The Sunday Challenge #402: Imperfect What is imperfection? Something damaged or unfinished? It is that nagging feeling, which drives us to fight for the perfection, until we either fall down on the ground, or become as the king of the hill. Perfection can not be reach without the fight, mistakes and mess. Bruises can not be avoided. And in the end, imperfect, scratched and broken is perfect. Contribution for The 50 Images-Project: Still Life 40/50 ♫ FIRST RULE OF FIGHT CLUB by Yuri Wong at YouTube. I recommend watching also the whole video to see how the music is done.
