... das müßte cammino sagen - er war ja gerade dort (unsere Reise ist schon so lange her, daß es kaum noch wahr ist)

Die Landebahn ist unverändert noch nahe bei den Klippen. Seit 2000 gibt es aber eine verlängerte Start- und Landebahn, gebaut auf Stelzen ins Meer hinaus. Dennoch gehört dieser Flughafen zu den schwierigen Flughäfen, da ein Instrumentenlandesystem fehlt und die Landung mit einer scharfen Rechtskurve beginnt. Ich empfand die Landung als ziemlich abenteuerlich.

.... ja, Deine Bildern haben mich tatsächlich veranlaßt, die alte Festplatte mit den Madeira-Bildern hervorzukramen. Die Qualität ist allerdings recht gruselig, da braucht`s Zeit für notwendige Restaurierungsarbeiten ... ;)
