Burning Bridges, By DoubleWide Debris

The Sunday Challenge Group

Each week, there is a different theme for the challenge and members of the group post their contributions on Sunday.

Burning Bridges, By DoubleWide Debris

17 Mar 2014 7 331
This is the front cover of DoubleWide Debris' latest album, Burning Bridges. Posted for The Sunday Challenge group. Their theme this week was to do a "Record cover - either a reproduction of a real cover, a spoof of a real record, or a completely made up cover, artist and title. Obviously, the crop must be square."

Save My Walrus

If you've ever watched the cartoon, "Ren and Stimpy," you'll know what the title means. This will be for The Sunday Challenge group, which I have just recently joined.

This was going to be a submission to The Sunday Challenge group - "Something you keep in the fridge," but somebody posted a shot almost identical to this one, so I didn't submit it after all.

Tiny Beetle

Standing Stone (Color Version)

I posted a black and white shot for a challenge group I belong to, (The Sunday Challenge), and I though people might be interested to see what this monument looked like normally.

Rye and Carraway

Another also-ran for The Sunday Challenge group's theme of "shallow depth of field." This was a fresh-made loaf of deli rye bread that I baked on April Fool's Day. Camera: Sony Alpha SLT-A77 (from 2013) Lens: Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm f/1.2 lens (from 1978) Converter: Minolta 2X M-A Converter-S ISO: 800 Aperture: F/1.2 Shutter Speed: 1/60 sec. Focus On "R"

07 Apr 2014 2 253
Another also-ran for The Sunday Challenge group's theme of "shallow depth of field." I really wanted to use this one, but as I was a new member of the group, thought I'd better feel my way before going too risqué. Camera: Sony Alpha SLT-A77 (from 2013) Lens: Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm f/1.2 lens (from 1978) Converter: Minolta 2X M-A Converter-S ISO: 800 Aperture: F/1.2 Shutter Speed: 1/80 sec. Death By Chocolate

13 Apr 2014 254
An example of an oxymoron - as if a person could die from chocolate! It hasn't killed me yet.

Confusion

16 Jun 2014 3 15 324
It's a clay pot in the design of a woven basket. I'm thinking this is a good example of the term "oxymoron." Taken with a Pentax K-1000, using Kodak 200 ISO film. For The Sunday Challenge group; the theme for this week is 'Oxymoron.'

Not To Be Used For Serving Food

13 Apr 2014 6 12 445
On the back of these plates was printed "Not to be used for serving food." I thought that's why dishes were invented? I think this is an example of an 'oxymoron.' For this week's challenge in The Sunday Challenge group - "Oxymoron."
