How did you get your layers to rise like this? Extra strength baking powder?

I found a secret to get cakes to rise evenly, and it really works. I was skeptical at first until I tried it. What I do is to take some cloth, roll it up into a couple layers and with a safety pin, make it where it fits tightly around my cake pans. You wet the cloths down first and when you bake your cakes, it causes the layers to rise evenly and ultimately higher. I only made two cloths and have two good cake pans, so I have to do it twice to get four layers. This cake is only three layers as four now turns out too tall for my cake holders. So I take the extra layer and cut it into thirds and make what turns out to be a third of a three layer cake to keep for me! I love cake! You might have noticed from my set about cakes: Cakes
