1965 Chevrolet Impala

1965 Chevrolet Impala
I finally got to use my new Yashica-44a TLR. It was gorgeous out today, in the 70's, so I drove around my town and around the country and shot a whole roll of film in my new camera. This was the very first picture I took, a 1965 Chevy sitting in front of the local auto shop.

Camera: Yashica-44a TLR (made in 1959)
Lens: Yashikor 60mm, f/3.5
Film: Efke R100 B&W 127 film
Shooting program: Manual (of course!)
Aperture: f/22
Shutter speed: 1/50 sec.
Date: March 15, 2015, 2.56 p.m.
Location: Norris City, Illinois, U.S.A.

Developing chemicals at 68 degrees:
Caffenol CM-RS: 11 mins.
Water rinse: 1 minute.
Ilford stop bath: 1 minute.
Water rinse: 30 seconds.
Ilford Hypam fixer: 7 1/2 mins.
Water rinse: 4 mins.
Kodak Photo Flo: 1 min.

Looks great! I bet you're wishing Efke hadn't gone out of business!

I did have a little trepidation using caffenol with the Efke, because the person who gave me the caffenol recipe said to use Fuji Film Neopan Acros with it. So, I didn't know if it would work with the Efke. Now that I've seen the results, you're right. I don't have near enough Efke film left for my satisfaction!

I cut some 120 film down to try in my 44LM, but I just haven't had the time to try it out yet.

How did you cut that down? By single frames or the whole roll in one piece? And what will you use for the paper backing to count the frames with and to keep the film from being exposed through the little red window on back? I save my 127 backing papers in case I should ever need to try cutting down some 120 film.

I used a cigar cutter and shortened the roll in one piece. I need to rewind it and use the 127 paper I saved.
