Thank you
Weather Station,
Looking across a choppy Loch Scavaig and past the fence to the cloud topped Black Cuillin range from Elgol, Isle of Skye,
They appear to have picked a good location for this one ;-))
Wish everyone HFF and a nice weekend but take care!
Navigation Light, HFF
The seaward end of a breakwater which juts out into Ayr Bay and on to the Firth of Clyde, The navigation light has been occupied by a pair of Cormorants who are enjoying the September Sun,
If you are able to view large the lighthouse at Troon is just visible on the left hand horizon
A Croft House, Isle of Skye.
With no money to import materials the crofters of the island used whatever materials were available to build a home, stones that were nearby, driftwood for roof timbers often provided by the many shipwrecks and rushes for the roof covering, walls were around three feet thick and windows kept to a minimum with a peat fire for light and heat.
The distant island to right of the image is Fladda-Chuin, A submarine grounded on the island in 2002 and caused damage to the hull that cost an estimated £5 million pounds to repair.
Stay safe but have a HFF
A large view if you are able please
Cool Sheep
High up on a ridge in the coastal wind & rain at Trotternish on the Isle of Skye this cool dude takes a break-. This is a Scottish Blackface sheep and both sexes have horns.
Have a good week every one just stay safe.
A little music to accompany you viewing www.youtube.com/watch?v=4anek6LoMXg
In 16.9 so large if you desire.
On the Carrick Coast
Built for the Kennady Clan in the 1200s Dunure Castle ruins are still a feature on this prommetary along the Carrick Coast in South Ayrshire.
Shot in 16.9 so a large view recommended
Lifeboat Weather
The Girvan all weather Shannon class Lifeboat " Elizabeth and Gertrude Allen" on her mooring, as the sky darkens and bad weather rolls in from the Firth of Clyde.
November Colour
Enough breeze to keep the branches moving but not enough to remove the leaves, Autumn colours across the water,
16.9 image so large may be better
Wish you all HFF and a good weekend.
