Having just visited Western Ireland, I am only surprised if you did not see far more graveyards like this. The potato famine of 1845 left a trail of such places after 1-1.5 million people starved. Sad reminders are everywhere. - Nice capture though and not to be forgotten!

Have to say I never considered the potato famine. Stumbled across this cemetry looking for a short cut to the pub, which I am pleased to say we found eventually!
