The works with the cover removed. Inside an early 80s microwave oven. This stopped heating/cooking food so I pulled all the parts which may one day have some use in some electronic thing. November 2017.

Thanks for the suggestion about a spot welder, I hadn't known about that use. I've thought of using it as a step-up transformer from 12-15VAC for use in valve circuits, or maybe replacing the 2800V winding with a new secondary also for valve circuits.
