Desert Oaks
Allocasuarina decaisneana or desert oak - Ayers Rock - Uluru - Australia. Desert oak trees have adapted well to the harsh climate of central Australia. When young, they grow upright like these trees. As they mature and their roots spread, so do their branches and the limited rain water is carried to the expanding roots.
