Schloss Münster

Schloss Münster
Das Fürstbischöfliche Schloss im westfälischen Münster ist ein in den Jahren von 1767 bis 1787 im Stil des Barock erbautes Residenzschloss für Münsters vorletzten Fürstbischof Maximilian Friedrich von Königsegg-Rothenfels. Der Architekt war Johann Conrad Schlaun. Seit 1954 ist es Sitz und Wahrzeichen der Westfälischen Wilhelms-Universität. Das Schloss ist aus dem für Münster typischen Baumberger Sandstein gebaut.

I clicked on "large" to see the light colour ... sandstone and it gives
it such a warmth in the sunlight especially ... a fine building indeed ...
I am surprised at it's age ... it looks traditional and very fine indeed !
