Hallo Lothar, es gibt natürlich auch einen sehr schönen Bereich in Binz und die Reise lohnt sich ganz bestimmt - aber im Ortsteil Prora gibt es noch viel zu tun ... danke fürs Sternchen!

...denke ich mir Erhard, mein erster und einziger Besuch dort war im letzten Jahr des vorigen Jahrhunderts. Gruß Lothar

´This wall was part of a gigantic building complex that has been constructed by the Nazis during WW2. The intention was to have a resort for 20.000 people, but it has never been finished.

The very wall we see here was to be a - what else - gigantic terace.

if it had been completed .. and what we might loosely call ;-))) a blot on the landscape ;-)
but I note in the write up that they refer to Butlins ;-) ... of course we had these seaside
resorts that had little chalets to sleep in ... I am sure you may heard of them, but
they were all small little cabins and nothing obtrusive ... and after the war started
to become popular, in fact, they are still around ;-) I guess your wall here will stay
forever and ever ;-)
