Location
Indio Riverside County Fair entrance gate (#1478)
The front entrance to the fairgrounds, clearly designed to be suggestive of Middle-Eastern – at least, “Middle-Eastern” as interpreted by an American. Note that the angular blocks along the tops of walls and nearby structures are part of the suggestion of “Middle-East” here.
This gate is on the north side of the fairgrounds, on CA-111 which is a main thoroughfare across the entire Coachella Valley. Though this appears to be the main gate, I suspect the south gate on the opposite side of the park is now the primary gate since all of the parking for the fairgrounds is on that side.
