Devil's Slide area between Pacifica and Montara. The area has a long history as being a problem in efforts to connect the farms and fisheries along the San Mateo coast to the urban center of San Francisco. (See nearby pictures)

I'm pretty sure this is where we were stopped for about 30 minutes by construction guys after a slide in 2007. There were worse places we could have been held up.

Probably was if you were near but south of SF -- I think this is the only place between SF and Santa Cruz where slides were a problem.
