Don Barrett (aka DBs… club has replied to ClintSuch bridges seem to reflect a different time, long before there could be easy decisions to wipe out enough property to build the long approaches necessary for a higher, no-lift, bridge.
Searching around on the Internet, there's an astounding lift bridge in Duluth, if you're up there again.
