Sinop farmhouse in 1970 (092 a)

Travel outside of the immediate boundaries of Sinop was difficult. At that time Turkey didn’t have as developed an infrastructure as did modern Europe, so getting around wasn’t very easy. Luckily, there was a master sergeant who worked the same shift as a number of us who liked to travel, and he enjoyed having others travel with him. Almost monthly, about 5 of us would get together and hire a driver with a van to explore villages nearby. This is a farm just inland from Sinop (Location is a guess, I remember only that it was only about a half hour outside of Sinop, and inland)

Pictures in this set (Military Years) are from when I was in the military, from 1967-1970. All photos were originally slides, a friend spent very many hours restoring those slides to being viewable. Best viewed as part of the Military Years set.
