White Sands Missile Range 3195a

Heading to Alamogordo requires going east from Las Cruces on US-70. The road goes over a high pass and descends into a very large basin. Coming down from the pass, there is road to the south leading to fairly remote camping and recreation areas (this picture). But, the east side of that same road is the boundary of the vast expanse of the White Sands Missile Range (next picture).
