Cistern sign
"This cistern was built to collecth the rain waters. The rain would come in through the dome and the water would be carried out to the basin, which has not survived to the present day. The water was used for animals and garden irrigation not for drinking. Upon the Inscription is written: Pray for the soul of Ümmügülsüm the reverend wife of the benevolent and Good Samaritan, the tax collector in the Province of Mentese Osman Aga. 1834/1835."
